If you saw my dilemma a couple posts back, I just wanted you to know I conquered that pillow. Believe in yourself and you can conquer your pillow, too! 😄 Now this cheerful room draws all of us in, including the kitties. ✨

RENDER | Today I'm sharing a view from a contemporary update of this Redondo Beach, CA row home. The style of the current space is definitely beachy chic and I'm really loving the new design by Judy at Featured Design! ⠀

Happy Tuesday, beautiful people! How many of you set intentions for the week? I guess they could be called goals, too, but intentions also encompasses thought processes and mantras in my book. A few weeks back I set intentions for the coming week and then physically scheduled out blocks of time in my calendar to work on them throughout the week (on top of a normal workload) and it was a game changer! I got everything done on my list and didn’t even need to think about it because it was already planned out for me. I may be a little late to the game this week but I’m going to try it again. Sometimes when I have so many big projects I want to get done it’s hard to break them down and chisel away at them each day but it’s something that I found works for me and maybe it could work for you, too!

I’ve said it before, and I’ll most definitely say it again...designing for yourself is SO hard. I absolutely adore this stupid pillow yet it has caused me so much pain trying to design our master around it. 😩 Next to our current bedding, it looks off-white. I can’t decide which accent colors to go with because I quite literally love them all. And to boot, I wouldn’t normally even consider myself a huge boho fan yet this pillow has me wrapped around its little, colorful finger and I had to have it the day I saw it on the shelf. I’m so drawn to calm, cool colors especially in the bedroom and this is just so full of life. I’m going to figure this out. I HAVE to figure this out! What space are you struggling to complete right now? I promise you are not alone!

Sometimes you just need to compare the options! This space didn't lend itself to much in terms of conducive space planning...so we flexed that creativity muscle and thought of ways to "extend" the wall to allow for the sofa to float out past the doorway. Which idea do you like best? ⠀

Time for a mid-week reminder that you DO measure up! It's so easy in the digital age to constantly compare your skills and creativity to not only another badass in your community but now across the world! Do you ever think about how many humans you straight up would not know even exist without platforms like Instagram? We all have something to bring to the table and that 'something' is really important. Just remember - for as many people as you draw inspiration (and angst?) from, there are others out there quietly drawing from you. So keep your nose down and push through the #impostersyndrome because it's honestly just a waste of perfect energy that could be used to create the most beautiful magic. ✨ Side note: If you don't literally carry around a mini measuring tape, I highly recommend. I can't count the number of times it has come in handy! 😉
